Portuguese Centre of Photography
Are you a photography and history lover? Then this is the museum for you! The Portuguese Centre of Photography puts on exhibitions that explore the world of photography, from historical images to contemporary works by Portuguese and international photographers. Until February next year, you can visit one of its temporary exhibitions ‘Miragaia 1975 – life and struggle after April 25th’. The CPF also has permanent exhibitions: the António Pedro Vicente Museum Centre and the Memory Room.

Pharmacy Museum
The Pharmacy Museum displays a huge collection relating to the history of pharmacy and medicine, with objects from ancient civilisations right up to the present day. The visit begins with artefacts that are around 40 million years old, and offers a journey through the history of humanity. With both permanent and temporary exhibitions, this museum offers a fascinating and educational experience, ideal for those interested in science. Neonia
Recently opened, Neonia is a new interactive and immersive museum located in the heart of the invincible city. Through artistic interpretations, scenographic materials, projections, sound and light effects, this museum tells stories about the past and future of Porto. The experience is multisensory, providing a completely different and innovative way of getting to know the city and its history.

Go to the theatre
Porto offers a wide range of theatres, which reflect the diversity and richness of its cultural life. If you are staying at the PortoBay Teatro, you needn’t to go far – just a few steps from the hotel you will find the Teatro Sá da Bandeira, the oldest entertainment venue in the city! Other options include the Teatro Rivoli, the São João National Theatre and the Teatro Campo Alegre.
Take a tram ride
Rain or shine, a tram ride is a must-do experience during your visit to Porto! You can choose one of three lines: line 1, which runs along the Douro riverfront for its entire route, line 18, which connects the lower to the upper part of the city and, finally, line 22, which passes through well/known parts of Porto such as São Bento Station, Rua de Santa Catarina and Rua dos Aliados. As for tickets, don’t worry – you can buy them on board the tram itself!
