Don’t miss the thirty-metre-high Christmas tree that fills Terreiro do Paço with colour! The Portuguese capital is even more vibrant at this time of the year: markets, concerts and in the Parque Eduardo VII an amusement park with something for all the family! The ice rink and the Ferris wheel are just some of the reasons to visit Wonderland Lisboa.

A little further downtown, just off Avenida da Liberdade, the PortoBay Liberdade hotel has prepared a special programme in a cosy, elegant and refined setting. On the 24th, the Bistrô4 restaurant is serving a Christmas dinner with an a la carte menu designed especially for this day. ... On the 25th, sleep in and start your Christmas Day with our brunch, which includes a buffet, tea, coffee and a glass of “PortoBay Liberdade selection” sparkling wine when you arrive.

Porto is filled with light and joy during this magical season. The Aliados Avenue is brought to life by its giant Christmas tree, the garden benches with words to warm the heart and decorations throughout the city streets. Christmas markets, ice-skating areas, light shows at the Clérigos Tower and much more. ...

Right in the heart of the city, on Rua das Flores, you will find the 5-star PortoBay Flores hotel, which has prepared Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve celebrations that promise to be memorable.
On the 24th, the Bistrô Flores restaurant will be presenting a 5-course menu with matching wines in an intimate, elegant and welcoming environment. And to end 2023 on a high note, you can enjoy a 6-course tasting menu with matching wines, live music and a toast to the New Year at midnight!

Further along, on Rua Sá da Bandeira, just a few minutes from Aliados Avenue, you will find the 4-star PortoBay Teatro hotel. The Il Basilico restaurant is preparing to serve a delicious 5-course Italian-inspired Christmas dinner, but with very Portuguese flavours accompanied by matching wines. On the 25th, nothing beats a calm morning lie-in followed by a Christmas brunch with a buffet of cold and hot dishes, desserts and much more!

Madeira
The island of Madeira has unique traditions at Christmas! It is in this festive spirit that The Cliff Bay, Les Suites at The Cliff Bay, Vila Porto Mare and Porto Santa Maria hotels will all be welcoming their guests: with lights, nativity scenes, decorations, and a range of Christmas activities and delicacies. The programmes vary depending on the hotel, but entertainment is guaranteed from 20 December right through to 1 January!

At The Cliff Bay and Les Suites at The Cliff Bay, the Christmas Eve gala dinner on the 24th will be served at Il Gallo d'Oro, The Rose Garden and the Avista restaurant, each of them with a special menu for the perfect Christmas Eve!
On the 25th, there is plenty to choose from at the hotel! One highlight is the brunch at the Avista, with its wonderful buffet; a relaxing way to start your morning with a lie-in. Later you can choose whether you prefer dinner at the Avista with a set menu, or some show cooking at the Rose Garden, both with live music.

At the Vila Porto Mare resort, entertainment is also guaranteed! On the 24th, dinner is served at the Alfama, Atlântida and MED restaurants, each with a different menu specially designed for that night.
On the 25th you can enjoy a Buffet show cooking lunch at the Atlântida restaurant and sample the range of delicious options available.

In the Porto Santa Maria on the 24th, the Arsenal restaurant serves a gala dinner, and on the 25th you can enjoy a mini buffet lunch and a buffet dinner, both at the Arsenal!

 

One of the high points of the celebrations takes place on New Year’s Eve when the natural amphitheatre of Funchal Bay is transformed into a huge nativity scene illuminated with thousands of coloured lights. The scene is set to welcome an incredible spectacle: the 12 chimes of midnight mark the start of what Guinness World Records has classified the biggest firework display in the world!!

To celebrate the New Year, a gala dinner is (almost) a must! If you like to celebrate earlier, on the 30th, the Avista is preparing a very special dinner with a tasting menu. Why wait if you can bring it forward?
On the 31st, whether at Il Gallo d’Oro, the Rose Garden or Avista, we can guarantee a memorable night! We know that you will be partying late into the night and that on day one of the New Year the first meal has to be special. Avista's Brunch is the ideal option so you can sleep in a little longer and enjoy the treats the Chef has prepared for you.
At midnight we welcome in 2024 with the stunning view offered by The Cliff Bay and Les Suites over Funchal bay!

At the Horta restaurant on the Lido promenade, you can start the party early and join the Gala dinner on the 30th. There's a 5-course tasting menu, which can be adapted for vegans and vegetarians, a champagne welcome drink, DJ entertainment and lots of fun! The following day, the 31st, the Horta is also preparing a special menu to see in the New Year.
And to welcome in the New Year, enjoy a gala dinner at one of the Resort's restaurants and then enjoy the fireworks show at Funchal Stadium.

The Porto Santa Maria is a hotel with a prime location to enjoy the pyrotechnic show, and there is nothing better to celebrate the 31st than a gala dinner at the Arsenal with live music until 3am. At midnight, we’ll be going up to the Harbour Terrace with its 360º panoramic view that offers the perfect view of the firework display. Don’t miss it!
And on the first day of the year, everyone wants to sleep a few hours more, so breakfast is extended until 11am!

Algarve
Live music every day, and menus that include typical Algarve Christmas delicacies. .. are the suggestions from the PortoBay Falésia hotel for this festive season. On the evening of 31st December, you can have dinner at the Il Basilico restaurant or opt for an end-of-year buffet at the Madeira restaurant. The farewell to 2023 takes place with an End-of-Year Show with live music, at the Búzios Bar, accompanied by supper until 2am. . .. and after the night's festivities, on the first day of the year Brunch will be served. ...

 

Rio de Janeiro

Christmas Eve dinner, on the 24th, is served on the 4th floor of the hotel in a welcoming atmosphere decorated especially for the occasion. On the 31st, the PortoBay Rio de Janeiro hotel will be serving two dinners, one at La Finestra for its guests and the other on the 4th floor for all those who want to spend this special date at the hotel. The dinners also include live music, entertainment, a special attraction and lots of partying!
Guests staying at the hotel can watch the fireworks on the hotel's rooftop, where we will also have a DJ, and anyone else who wants to spend New Year's Eve at the PortoBay Rio de Janeiro can also purchase a ticket to enjoy this experience.

São Paulo
