Búzios, a beautiful peninsula with more than 20 beaches

BÚZIOS, A BEAUTIFUL PENINSULA WITH MORE THAN 20 BEACHES

Búzios looks more like an island, but it is actually a beautiful peninsula sporting 23 beaches! About two hours from Rio de Janeiro, this fishing village is a must-see refuge and is a perfect mix of nature and eclecticism.
Surfing conditions, calm waters, ideal for families... just throw a towel over your shoulder and choose!

1. João Fernandinho
A true paradise that deserves your visit. Although small, this beach offers the perfect tranquility for those looking to relax. Surrounded by vegetation and rock formations, access is slightly more complex than the neighbouring beaches, but don’t let this stop you from enjoying this wonderful beach!

2. Canto
Canto beach is a small, quiet beach located in the city centre. With calm, crystal-clear waters, it is ideal for swimming and relaxing. This beach offers easy access to restaurants and shops, providing a serene retreat without straying far from urban conveniences. You can also count on the presence of fishing boats in a typical fisherman’s village!

3. Geribá
Geribá beach, considered the beach of choice for young people, is one of the most famous in the region. This beach is ideal for water sports, attracting surfers throughout the year. It is furnished with kiosks, bars and restaurants to refresh yourself with cold drinks and to enjoy delicious snacks!

4. Armação
Although it is not ideal for swimming, Armação beach is a must-see during your stay in Búzios. Here, you can peruse iconic sculptures and fishing boats, and relax on the benches while enjoying the view. Thanks to its coastline (known as Orla Bardot), this beach is also ideal for walking. We suggest a walk at the end of the day so you can enjoy a truly magical sunset.

5. Ferradurinha
Surrounded by a rock formation, Ferradurinha beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the region. Its waters are calm and without waves, which makes it suitable for sports such as stand-up paddleboarding. With a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, this beach is also ideal for a day of pure rest under the sun.

6. João Fernandes
Known for its calm, crystal-clear waters, João Fernandes beach is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The beach has an extensive stretch of golden sand and is surrounded by bars and restaurants serving snacks and drinks. With full amenities and easy access, it is a favourite destination for both families and tourists seeking comfort and fun.

7. Ossos
Crystal clear waters, fine white sand, surrounded by rocks… this is the scenery you will find at Ossos beach! Its beauty and serenity make this beach the perfect place to relax, especially with the family, or to enjoy pleasant walks along the beach.

8. Amores
One of the most hidden beaches in Búzios, Amores beach is ideal for a peaceful day. Due to its complicated access, this beach is almost deserted and with no kiosks or restaurants nearby it is advisable to come prepared with everything you need.

9. Foca
Foca beach is a small and isolated beach, known for its crystal clear waters and natural pools formed between the rocks. With an intimate setting and peaceful environment, it is ideal to relax and enjoy the outstanding natural beauty.

10. Tartaruga
Calm, green and warm waters… could there be anything better?! Tartaruga beach is ideal for a relaxing day in the sun, but also for those who enjoy water activities such as snorkelling and kayaking. This beach offers several kiosks serving snacks and drinks, creating a welcoming atmosphere for its visitors.
A little curiosity: its cove is a spawning point for several species of turtles, which explains its name. Tartaruga means turtle in Portuguese!

11. Tucuns
Tucuns beach is an extensive golden sand beach, characterised by its clear waters and strong waves, making it ideal for sports such as surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and paragliding. With a less urbanized environment, it offers tranquility and direct contact with nature. It is perfect for long walks and relaxation, an authentic refuge for those looking for a less crowded beach in Búzios.

12. Azeda e Azedinha
Considered among the most beautiful beaches in Búzios, Azeda and Azedinha are two small “sister” beaches, located side by side. Their waters are calm and transparent, providing a breathtaking setting. Enjoy a refreshing swim, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of these beaches!

13. Forno
Surrounded by rolling hills covered in vegetation, Forno beach offers stunning natural scenery and a serene atmosphere. The calm, crystal-clear waters are ideal for swimming and snorkelling, allowing you to observe marine life. The beach is not very busy, providing a peaceful place to relax. It can only be accessed by rail or boat, which contributes to its preserved and exclusive environment.

14. Ferradura
At Ferradura beach, there are options for all tastes… do you want to rest? Lay down your towel on the sand and enjoy! On the other hand, if you’re looking for fun and a bit of adventure, this beach offers water activities with kayaks and banana boat rides that you won’t want to miss!

15. Rasa
Rasa beach, mostly frequented by locals, is situated in a windy zone, making it ideal for sports such as kitesurfing and windsurfing. But don’t worry – the sea is completely calm and pleasant for swimming!

16. Manguinhos
With an extensive stretch of golden sand and calm waters, Manguinhos beach is the perfect place for relaxing walks, as well as water sports due to its windy conditions. Along its coastline is Porto da Barra, a cuisine and leisure complex that offers a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. Famous for its absolutely magical sunsets, this beach attracts visitors who want to enjoy stunning views in an enchanting setting.

17. Brava
Contrary to its name (“Brava” means “Wild”), Brava beach presents a warm and inviting atmosphere for a great day at the beach! Despite being located far from the centre of Búzios, this beach is worth a visit for its natural beauty, and its refined the beach bars.

18. Virgens
Surrounded by vegetation, Virgens beach provides a true feeling of isolation and tranquility. Its name is due to the excellent preservation of the area, making it the ideal beach for nature lovers!
