PortoBay undergoing SGS certification

In addition to a total commitment to the guidelines handed down by the Portuguese and international health authorities, compliance with these rules is audited and monitored by SGS, a world leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification, which has a new partnership in place with the PortoBay group.

The Cliff Bay was the first hotel on the island of Madeira to receive best practice certification in managing the biological risks associated with SARS-CoV-2, in an initiative also sponsored by the Madeira Promotion Bureau. This certification will soon be extended to all hotels on Madeira.

At the group’s remaining hotels in Portugal, namely in Porto, Lisbon and the Algarve, the SGS “Disinfection Monitored” assessment was carried out with a view to ensuring proper safety, health and disinfection.
