Madeira wine has the characteristic of being the only wine that can be kept indefinitely. It is made from the oldest grapes in the world, with bottles dating back to 1715.

The most common grape varieties for Madeira Wine are Sercial, Verdelho, Boal, Malvasia, Terrantez and Tinta Negra.

Madeira wine was used for centuries to offer a toast on special occasions in the royal courts of Europe, in the palaces of the Russian Czars and at the independence of the United States of America.
