PRAÇA DO COMÉRCIO

In Praça do Comércio (or Terreiro do Paço) you can enjoy the city’s unique light. Relax at the pavement cafés and enjoy walking under the arcades with their traditional cafés and restaurants. In the centre of the square is a statue of King José I, a meeting point for the crowds that pass daily to and from the ferries that connect the two banks of the Tagus.

Experience the cultural events that Lisbon has to offer at the Pátio da Galé and visit the Lisbon Story Centre museum, where you can relive the city’s history, especially the earthquake of 1755.

Climb to the top of the Rua de Augusta Arch and get a panoramic views of the Baixa area, the city’s black and white paving stones and the River Tagus.
