The Avenida da Liberdade connects Praça dos Restauradores to the Marquês de Pombal roundabout. It is bordered by beautiful Portuguese pavements with countless trees and rest areas - the ideal setting as you make your way towards the São Jorge Castle, Alfama, Rossio, Chiado or Bairro Alto.

It’s worth taking a break at one of the pleasant kiosk cafés dotted along the avenue. They offer flavours to suit all tastes, sometimes accompanied by live music.
