MUSEUMS

National Museum of Fine Arts: a reference point for Brazilian art. With over 6,000 m2 of exhibition space, it also boasts a library specialising in the arts of the 19th and 20th centuries, which brings together rare works, catalogues, documents, photographs and the personal collections of some artists. 
Museum of Modern Art: A museum dedicated to modern art, with around 16,000 works by famous artists, located in beautiful surroundings: Flamingo Park. 
The Rio Museum of Art: This new Rio museum was officially opened in March 2013 and is in the centre. Various Brazilian art exhibitions can be visited. 
Casa Daros: In Botafogo, the Casa Daros has collections dedicated to contemporary Latin American art.
