MUNICIPAL THEATRE

In the heart of Cinelandia, close to the National Library, the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Pedro Ernesto Palace, the Municipal Theatre is impressive not only for its architecture, but also for its imposing façade and beautiful interior. The fine materials used in its construction, such as veined Carrara marble, bronze, onyx, mirrors and furniture, together with paintings and sculptures, make this theatre, which has a capacity of 2,200 people, a true temple of culture.
